Huntington Beach CA- The Golden West Rustlers delivered one of the biggest upsets of the season Saturday afternoon.storming back from a 14-point deficit to defeat the No. 2-ranked Riverside Tigers 42-35.

Riverside came out firing. Quarterback Doolittle opened the scoring with a 30-yard touchdown pass to Nickson II, then added two more big strikes in the second quarter an 82-yard bomb to Quates and a 38-yard connection with Connor ,giving the Tigers what seemed to be a comfortable 21–7 lead.
Goldenwest would get back in the game. Thanks to Aaron Mitchell, who broke loose for a 60-yard run, setting up his own 2-yard touchdown plunge. Just minutes later, Noa Banua helped his team tie the game as he ran in for a touchdown.

Coming out into the second half of the game, Goldenwest keep the fire burning. Banua tossed a pair of TDs, connecting with Will Mckissick and Tanner Schmidt for 18 yards strikes to take a commanding 35-21 lead. In the fourth quarter Riverside would try to rally back, scoring two more touchdowns of their own. With the game on the line the Noa Banua would find Tanner Schmidt yet again winning the game 45-38. Next week, Rustlers will be facing Allan Hancock whom they previously beat in their bowl game last year.
