Los Angeles, CA- Makai Lemons from USC was recently named the Paul Hornung National Player of the week for his performance against Michigan State. The award is presented to best versatile player in all of college football.
No doubt it should have been Lemons to receive this award. Makai Lemon had 16 touches with the ball in four different ways. He would total 225 all-purpose yards, which would make it the third most in his career as a Trojan. He would also have two touchdowns, one receiving and one rushing.
Makai Lemon currently leads the Big Ten with the most yards after catches for a total of 254 and is the second most in the Power four .
Lemon was a key player in helping USC secure this victory over Michigan State. Will this Trojan continue to put these numbers up against Illinois or will they shut down the momentum he’s got going?
