CARSON, Calif. — LAFC returned from the World Cup break in dominant fashion, defeating the LA Galaxy 3-0 on Friday night at Dignity Health Sports Park to claim the latest edition of El Tráfico. A first-half strike from Mark Delgado, a Denis Bouanga penalty, and a second-half goal from Son Heung-min powered the Black & Gold to a convincing rivalry victory.
The opening stages featured a physical battle between the two Los Angeles rivals, with both clubs looking to establish control in midfield. LAFC broke through in the first half when Mark Delgado capitalized on a loose ball inside the penalty area, finishing from close range to give the visitors a 1-0 advantage. The goal shifted momentum in LAFC’s favor as the Black & Gold continued to dictate possession and create dangerous opportunities.
