San Francisco erased multiple Angels leads before Rafael Devers delivered a walk-off, two-run single in the 10th inning to complete the comeback. The Giants carried that momentum into Saturday’s matchup, cruising to a 9-2 win behind a dominant performance from Robbie Ray. The veteran left-hander tossed six scoreless innings while Rafael Devers and Jung Hoo Lee each launched three-run home runs to power San Francisco’s offense. Casey Schmitt also contributed at the plate as the Giants built an early lead they never surrendered.
Looking to avoid the sweep, the Angels responded in Sunday’s finale with one of their strongest offensive performances of the series. Mike Trout went 4-for-4, recording his first four-hit game since 2021 and setting the tone atop the lineup. Jorge Soler blasted a solo home run before Jo Adell added a two-run shot in the fourth inning, giving Los Angeles a 4-0 advantage.
Starting pitcher José Soriano delivered five effective innings, allowing just one unearned run while striking out five to earn his ninth victory of the season. The Giants mounted a late comeback behind a two-run double from Luis Arraez, cutting the deficit to one run in the eighth, but Angels reliever Mitch Farris escaped trouble in the ninth to record the first save of his Major League career and secure the 4-3 victory.
Although the Angels avoided the sweep, San Francisco claimed the series by winning two of the three games.
